On the run - Animated film

By means of an animated short film, we show the path followed by asylum seekers in Belgium, from the beginning of their exile until the end of their procedure.

Asylum and migration are themes widely covered by the media. And it is not easy to explain in a few words what it is all about. Where do these people come from? Why are they fleeing their country? How does a reception centre look like? Who can stay in Belgium afterwards? And what happens to the people who have to return home?

« On the run – Asylum seekers in Belgium » is an animated film in which we show younger people the path followed by asylum seekers. In a language suitable for students, we explain the difference between a migrant, an asylum seeker and a refugee. In six minutes, the animated film teaches them some basic concepts around asylum and migration.

Available in two versions (primary/secondary school), the film is viewable by section to make room for discussion.
