The Fedasil Info Point in Brussels has welcomed more than 22.000 visitors, mainly single men with an ongoing asylum procedure.
On 27 September 2023, the Fedasil Info Point opened its doors in the former Bordet Hospital in Brussels. To celebrate its second anniversary, our colleagues organised a partners meeting last week. They gave an overview of their work at the Info Point and took stock of the past two years.
The Fedasil Info Point is an easy accessible place in Brussels where asylum seekers who are not staying in the reception network can go for information and guidance, just like other migrants.
Over the past two years, the Info Point has welcomed more than 22,000 visitors, with an average of 65 visits per day. Most visitors are single men with an ongoing asylum procedure. The most common questions are about accommodation, medical care and legal assistance.
Fedasil can count on the operational and strategic support of the European agency EUAA on site. Caritas International also helps at the Info Point by providing information to recognized refugees, illegal immigrants, candidate returnees and Ukrainians with temporary protection.
