On 19 September, Fedasil kicked off Re\turn, an exhibition of photographs by Carl De Keyzer in Ghent.
On Friday 19 September, Fedasil invited partners and colleagues to Ghent for the festive opening of the Re\turn exhibition on voluntary return and reintegration.
Pieter Spinnewijn, Director-General of Fedasil: "Voluntary return is an essential part of our mission. It offers people who have no future in Belgium a dignified and humane way to start over in their country of origin. With the Re\turn exhibition, we want to show what voluntary return really means in people's lives. In this way, we hope to bring this little-known story closer to the public."
About the exhibition
Re\turn tells the story of thirteen returnees from all over the world, who were portrayed in their country of origin by Magnum photographer Carl De Keyzer and journalist Catherine Vuylsteke.
This exhibition is presented in Dutch, but texts in French and English can be accessed using QR codes.
You can visit Re\turn every day until 23/11/2025 free of charge at the Wintercircus in Ghent. More information and details can be found here: Exhibition Re\turn | Fedasil.
