"Since my stay in Belgium, my expertise has been in mental health care. I became a clinical psychologist in Brussels and obtained a doctorate in Mons. My wife and I are originally from Burundi, but she and our three children were granted political asylum in Rwanda in 2015. During my studies, I was only able to visit them once – I missed them so much. In 2020, I was finally reunited with them. I used the reintegration assistance to create with some colleagues the Kigali Psycho-Medical Centre, a private clinic that helps patients with various mental disorders."
