“I have worked in agriculture my entire life. I now hope to make new investments in our livestock. But I also need to take care of the farm, which we have been forced to neglect for years.”
Arayik (°1972) and Artur - Armenia
“For us, Belgium meant the difference between life and death. When Artur developed a tumour in his leg, we couldn’t afford the treatment. Poor farmers like us don’t have that kind of money. We sold our cows to pay for the travel. My boy spent a whole year in a hospital in Belgium. An amputation was unavoidable, but he was given a prosthesis. Now we are back home. My wife and mother have looked after the other children on their own for long enough. Those were difficult years, but fortunately we are together again.”
